Single day sessions, 10.30am - 3.30pm. £90 for the day. Bring a friend for £150! 4 Spaces. Available dates: Friday 17th March Click the date on the calendar which you would like to book (available dates should be highlighted with a dot). This one day course will offer you the chance to learn woodcut or lino relief printmaking with Amy Douglas, a professional artist with an MA in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Art. Amy will hold this class in her studio and provide all materials. You can look forward to enthusiastic tuition at a high technical level alongside advice in using cutting tools, water based printing ink and hand barrens . This is a class for beginners / improvers and those that enjoy the physicality of materials. A large printing press is available for use. Suitable for participants 16+. Amy has DBS certification. This course will introduce students to materials, cutting techniques, and the use of different coloured inks with your own design. Work can be taken home on the day as we use water based inks. Wheel chair access (inform us of your needs). Teas and coffee are provided. Do bring your own lunch. What happens on the day: Introduction to the workshop and Amy. Amy will show you how to transfer your own design onto the wood or lino. Demo of the carving tools and opportunity to practice. You will start cutting your block. Break for lunch at 12.30 for half an hour. After lunch you will be shown how to ink up and then print either on the table top or using the polymetaal press. Opportunity to experiment with printing on different papers and collage. Small class size enables Amy to be available to offer personal guidance throughout the day and a tailored approach to your individual needs. TERMS AND CONDITIONS | REFUND POLICY This course must be booked and paid in full. If you wish to cancel you will be refunded as follows: If you cancel up to to 2 weeks before the class - 80% refund. If you cancel 1 week before the class - 40% refund. Cancellations after this period will not be refunded. If you can’t attend you may transfer the booking to a friend and let me know. No refunds will be available if you fail to attend. You may not transfer from one class to another. If for any reason I am unable to run the course you will be refunded in full.
